A few days before our trip out to West Palm Beach Matt and I tried the carryout menu from Sixty Vines in Houston.
New to Rice Village Shopping District Sixty Vines is a farm-to-table Italian inspired dining experience with 4 locations. Three in Texas (Houston, Dallas & Plano) and one in Winter Park Florida.
They offer curbside & delivery options for their whole menu however we decided to try their “Curbside Kits”
There are three to select from The Bordeaux (steak), The Pinot Noir (pork chop) and the The Chardonnay (Salmon). The Bordeaux menus was calling our names as we love to indulge in a good steak and affogato is our favorite dessert.
The Bordeaux:
Filet – 6oz. petite filet, duck fat butter
House Salad – spring mix, candied walnuts, fresh strawberries, peppered pecorino, citrus-honey vinaigrette
Orecchiette Primavera – seasonal vegetables, spinach, tomatoes, pecorino romano, pesto butter
Deviled Affogato – devil’s food cake, salted caramel ice cream, coffee caramel, nitro cold brew coffee shot.
serves 2 $75/ serves 4 $150
The Wine:
The wine selection at Sixty Vines is not to be passed up! They have 60 wines on tap to choose from.
For carryout you must purchase a bottle (which were 50% off) when we were picking up so we splurged on 2 of the pricers reds.
At Home Dining:
Everything came fully cooked in containers with prep instructions. What needed to be warmed up were in aluminum containers and what didn’t need heating came in plastic covered bowls.
All I had to do was warm the components in the oven, the steak, pasta & veggies and plate the food. The directions called for no longer than 15 minutes at 400 degrees.
Matt and I were blown away by how delicious & satisfying this meal was. The portions are generous (we are in Texas after all ). The steak, pasta and veggies are seasoned perfectly. My mouth is literally watering as I recall this meal.
We can’t wait to dine in at Sixty Vines one day soon!
