On the Venice boardwalk you can rent bikes, roller skates and stroll along the street, check out the many eclectic vendors. On this trip, I was surprised at the number of homeless people around Venice. The last time I was here it was over 5 years ago and I don’t remember it making this much of an impression. I don’t know if its the rose-colored glasses of early 20’s back then, if I’m more aware of my surroundings now or hypersensitive, or if it’s really changed that much?
