Houston Fashion Blogger; Where to Take Blog Photos in Houston

Talk about a requested subject! I receive many inquiries are about my shoot locations in Houston. The consensus is most don’t believe Houston is my backdrop! Being a Houston Fashion Blogger finding beautiful locations that represent the city well is definitely a priority of mine. I want to show this city off! But unlike European architecture or NYC their isn’t a picturesque moment at evert turn.

People not in the industry are curious to know I make Houston look like a different city or sometimes country… and those in the industry ie fellow bloggers and photographers, of course, are curious where I’m shooting in Houston because they need new locations as well.

Sharing locations is kind of a funny thing in this industry. As a creative if you are trying to stand out with your brand giving all your secrets away isn’t very prudent. I have been taken to some spots by photographers and they have asked me not to disclose these locations to anyone in the business. I mean, I get it, when you have taken the time to scout locations giving away your info so your “competition” can charge other to shoot there can be a tad frustrating.

So today I am sharing some of my favorite photoshoot locations in Houston that I am at liberty to share!

The Rienzi Museum has a beautiful garden, however their photography rules are always changing. When I shot there photogpraher was allowed so long as there was no tripod. When I went back it was iPhone only.
So its a roll of the dice.

Parking lot rooftop with skyscraper views! This takes a little hunting, take note of the parking lots around you in downtown. Often they are a great shooting location for a metropolitan vibe and super easy because you drive your car up to the top and do it all there!

But beautiful locations (and outfits) are just a fraction of what goes into my content! Great photography of course! (I plan to share a list of the talented photographers I have worked with here in Houston)

Post-editing: I always edit using my Lightroom Presets! I find these help we create the look I am trying to achieve in an image, and cohesiveness on my blog and Instagram.
