I don’t know if I have heard of a prettier name than Flora + Mia but I do know that I’m obsessed with their online collection! Last week I received four AH-mazing pieces that are going to be key players in my spring/ summer wardrobe and I can’t wait to share it all with you! Today we’re going to talk about this drop waist, modern lace dress. It’s so refreshing to see the drop waist style out and about as it can be tricky to pull off. A drop waist elongates the torso and shortens the legs [ ~it’s an illusion~] so obviously we have to pay attention to our proportions when styling the rest of the look; go for a hem above the knee or shorter and high, 3 inch high, heels with a low vamp. The low vamp continues the line of the leg down to your feet. Also be cognizant of how the dress fits to your body, a tighter fit will show your waist line and natural proportions while a boxy fit will hide it.
This dress stands pretty well on its own, I complimented it with the same spring coat and pumps from my last post. I’m a big fan of adding pops of color on a otherwise neutral look as seen here with the cobalt.. periwinkle [?] pumps and colorful stoned cuff.
