The annoying thing about winter months, other than having to step out into chilly weather, is how it’s so easy to wave the white flag on skirts or dresses and throw on the safe jeans, sweater and boots instead- boring! Since living in West Palme Beach, Florida for 7 years my “layering” skills have vastly suffered. But I’m back in a city where seasons are KIND of a thing and this Northerner’s tricks are slowing coming back to me. You don’t have to put away all your skirts just yet, this skirt I’m wearing is from the summer but doesn’t looks summery at all when paired with black tights and a sweater. I’m keeping the whole look monochromatic with pops of pastels found in the skirt and cuff for femininity and softness.
